"Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow" Isaiah 1:17

H.O.W. currently has four directors who regularly volunteer and serve with Mercy Ships and feel honored to do so.  The focus of serving the orphan, widow and stranger in need is a common bond of H.O.W. and Mercy Ships.

Directors: Dr. Woody and Robin Hopper, are currently serving on the optical team with Mercy Ships in Benin, West Africa.  They will be departing Africa Mercy, the hospital ship, in March 2017 and traveling on to South Africa and continue serving optical needs with Grace Vision.

Directors Jim and Nina Bayles will be returning to serve with "dry-dock" repairs and upgrades with Mercy Ships, aboard the Africa Mercy in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.  This active hospital ship, serves the forgotten poor with hope and healing and is served by volunteers from around the world.  Mercy Ships is soon wrapping up it's current service period in Benin and the ship will sail and will be in dry dock in Las Palmas from mid June into late July, 2017 for maintenance and upgrades prior to the hospital ship, Africa Mercy, beginning it's scheduled 2017/2018 Cameroon field service.
