"Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow" Isaiah 1:17

Peji, Bolivia Orphanage Bakery - Fall 2017 or Spring 2018

The orphanage bakery began as an earthen oven.  Helping Orphans and Widows, using funding from generous donors, was able to construct and equip a fully operational bakery for the orphange in 2010/2011. The director of the orphanage, Robinson Montoya, is also a excellent professional baker.

The bakery not only supplies breads and pastries for the orphanage campus needs, it supplies baked goods for customers in the villages and hotels in Santa Cruz.  These sales aid to cover cost of operations of the orphanage.

The original size of the bakery building no longer meets the demand to cover the projected needs of their growing clientele.  That places a handicap on meeting the growing orphanage budget.

A bakery expansion project was orginially scheduled for March 2015 but a review placed a priority of other orphanage needs first. Helping Orphans and Widows volunteers will began expanding the size of the bakery in November 2015.  The final completion and equipping of the larger bakery is desired to being in the Fall 2017 or spring 2018.  This will help meet the current needs and future growth potiential for the orphanage to become self-sustaining.  Your contributions are greatly appreciated in meeting this challenge.
